The New Scene

Wow it has been a while since my last post. Alot has happened in the Sechrist family. We are now living in Virgina. We love it except for all the stinking wintry weather. We loved the first snow as the kids had not really seen snow that they remembered anyway. We got about 8-10 inches and they liked playing in it until they got cold. They built their first snowman and had their first snowball fight. Then we went sledding at Charlie's dads. So we did enjoy it.
As for any new updates we are all surviving. We are getting more settled in every day. We had a great Christmas and it was nice to not have too far to go. The kids are enjoying school and Charlie had a nice birthday. We are now planning on Ian's upcoming birthday. Well I will make more of an effort. Love you guys.

The End of the Year

Ok well to day the least I have not done well keeping my blog updated. To be honest I doubt that too many have noticed. We have had a full year with school, jobs, kids and life. The kids are all growing up so fast that it is hard to believe we have a 9,8,7,5,3 and 1. We have survived Halloween, Thanksgiving and now moving closer to Christmas. They are all excited with the impending gifts they will or hope to receive. We are also in the process of moving. We are moving back to Virgina. Charlie took a job in September in hopes of moving to North Carolina. In the middle of his training the company offered him a promotion as a District Manager for them in Virginia. We have decided to move to Martinsville area where we once live to be closer to family. It would more ideal to go a little farther north but we feel like this is the best spot. So we are looking forward to being around all the cousins, grandparents, family and friends. So once again near a Christmas we are in the process of moving. It is no fun to move and especially not with 6 kids at Christmas. Well i will try to do better at the first of the year. Until then we wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Our Summer

Ok well to say the least I have not been on top of updating this. I am not sure how many of you even look at it actually. However I like to do it most of the time. Well this summer has flown by for our family. The kids will be starting school on Monday. Yep August 3rd we will officially have a 4th, 3rd,1st and Kindergarten. It is so hard to believe that the kids are that old. I guess that makes us offically old.
Well we had the wonderful opportunity to go to the beach will all Charlie's brothers and sister and their families. It was a great experiecnce and we enjoyed it so much. We had 28 people there and we all got along and that was great being that there were 14 kids. The weather was great. We had no rainy days and only a couple stormy nights. It was nice to sleep with the sound of the ocean. I sometimes think it would be nice to hear it all the time however I guess then I would get used to it and it would not sound the same.
The kids also got the opportunity to spend a week with Charlie's mom Granny Carol. She took them to Chuck E Cheese about 3 times and did many things with them. They had a great time there and are now looking forward to Papa Charles and Granny Laura come to see them so that they can go fishing. They have wanted to go fishing forever however Charlie nor I are fishing people. We live on top of the lake and have only been out one time on it in the 4 years that we lived here. Then we only fished that time for like 10 minutes and gave up.
Well we also have a new name for Nathan. He has renamed himself to actually 2 different names. He is either Nathan Blues Cafe or Little Charlie. He likes to call me Mama Bear and Charlie Daddy Bear. He calls everyone bear. So that is funny and cute. I tell you he is a cutey.
Well this is a glimpse of our summer. We leave to go tomorrow to go to a family reunion for Charlie's moms family. We look forward to seeing everyone. Who knows what the future holds for our family but we are hanging in there and loving each other.

Mason, Baptism and Parties

Well on May 28, 2008 we were blessed with a little boy. We welcomed Mason Silas into our family. He was 8lbs 9oz and was a sweet as ever. He has grown alot over the last year. He turned on 1 a few days ago and well I am just now getting around to doing my blog update. I still have a journal to do for him which shamfully has not been done in a few months. Well he now is walking and has great lungs. I have to get him to talk so he can tell me what he wants because right now he screams and man can he scream. He also has a temper ( I am not sure where he got it from). He likes to have things his way but don't we all? He is still a sweet heart and we will keep him. Here he is now!

Well on Saturday May 23rd we had 2 special things taking place in the family. We were able to have Emily's baptism. We were so glad for the family and friends that were able to come and be with her on the this special day. Emily was so excited and looking forward to it. She is a very sweet child and loves the gospel. Then we had parties for Callah, Emily and Mason. We also celebrated my 33rd birthday. I have been blessed to have Emily the day before my birthday and then to get her baptism on my birthday is awesome. Well here is a pic of Miss Emily at her baptism.
