Up to Date
Well I figured it was time to update the blog. We have been busy with life I suppose. The kids are all growing so fast. It is hard to believe that we have a teenager.
Callah, is now 13. Wow the time has flown. I remember the day she was born. I remember her first night home when she decided to sleep all night long and Charlie and I kept poking her to make sure she was alive. She has grown up to a beautiful young women. She is into soccer and made the school soccer team this year. She made 5 goals and they had 6 games. Then she still plays rec soccer with PYSL. She absolutely loves it.
Emily is now 12. She began the Young Women's program this last week. She likes soccer as well. She loves to play the guitar still and is wanting to try violin. We are debating it still. She loves to read and she is all into the Hunger Games.
Amanda is 10 and still a small little girl. She did Upward cheer leading this winter and has decided that she is wanting to try soccer again in the fall. She is still spunky but has got better at controlling her feelings.
Ian is 9. He is really into soccer as well. He pretty much plays the whole field. He likes to goalie as well. He has some natural talent at it. He is so full of energy. He is playing the guitar now as well. He is like Emily in that as he has some talent and really doesn't put forth his all.
Nathan is 6 almost 7. He is still my sweet caring little boy. He played basketball in the winter and soccer also. He was so funny this season in soccer. He wanted to play goalie so bad (I think because Ian did). He finally got his chance and did pretty good. He said it was the best day of his life.
Mason is now 5. He graduated pre-k a few days ago. He did a great job. He likes to play soccer also. He has a great foot. He loves to defend so most of the time he was taking the ball away but he did get some goals. He is funny to watch because he gets such a serious face.
Sam is 2. He is such a joy. It is hard to imagine not having him. He reminds me everyday that Heavenly Father knows best. He is into Diego, Jake and the Never land Pirates, Aquabats and Handy Manny. He likes to kick balls so he is hard to keep off the field at soccer.
So as you can tell the common theme here is SOCCER. It is kind of funny since Charlie nor I have played it other than backyard. We did not have it growing up but it has come a great love for our family. Charlie coaches most of their teams in some capacity or other than Mason. I took on that one since I really can't mess up too bad right?

Well the time has flown. The kids finished school. I have to admit between school,soccer,t-ball and baseball I have not had much time. Then add to that the 4 birthday's in May and working I am lost most of them time.
Callah turned 12 and is still into running her 5k's. I think I am going to challenge myself to run one but I know I will not keep up with her. Then she is got to go to girls camp this summer. So much fun. Emily turned 11 and is loving the guitar. She is going to start middle school when school starts. She is going to play the sax in band. Amanda is well Amanda. She is going into 4th grade and is most of the time a great help with Sam. It is hard to believe she will be 10 in a few short months.
Now for the boys :) Ian is doing great. He is now 8 and got baptized in March. He is accepted into the gifted program starting when school goes back. He will be in 3rd grade. He loves baseball, soccer and learning. He is so funny and says some of the craziest things. Nathan turns 6 today!! He is my most affectionate child and has a huge heart. He breaks my heart when he gets his feeling hurt. He is going to be in 1st grade and loves soccer and t-ball. Mason is now 4. He starts pre-k in a few months and then soccer. He is mischievous but we love him. He is still a mamas boy but I will take that. Then my little Sam. This kid stole my heart and needs to give it back. He is running and walking up a storm. He is so cute and it is so great watching the world through their eyes.
Now for us. Well Charlie and I celebrated our 18yr anniversary. He is working as well as me. We have 6 chickens, 2 rabbits and many more animals if we had space. We are still in the big VA and we are trying to keep up with 7 kids.

Winter Happenings
Well this winter has been really mild. We have had really nice weather and not too many cold days. We purchased a wood stove before winter and we have loved it. Charlie likes to get it rocking up to 75 in the house mind you that we only set the heat on 66 so it is hot to us. They are calling for snow tomorrow we will see I suppose.
Well Ian and Nathan are playing basketball with Upwards. Nathan has yet to really grasp it all but he tries. Ian is in his 2nd year playing and I am surprised that he has improved so much. He has scored in most of his games and today he scored the most on his team. The other kids are not playing any sports at this time. Callah is still playing the flute for band and Emily is still doing the guitar.
Samuel is now crawling and it is fun. You forget how much you have to keep up. He found the fry daddy the other day and lets say he moisturized his skin well. Thankfully it was clean oil in it so he did not stink. It took lots of paper towels and salt to contain it. He thought it was fun.He is also trying to walk holding on to things. He has been a little brave and stands alone at times. He has cut his top teeth and bottom as well. He went for his 9 month check up and he lost a little weight but is still over 20 pounds. He is in the 70th percentile in both weight and weight. Mason goes for his preschool assessment in a few days. He is kind of excited. It is hard to believe that in less than a month Ian will be 8. I will try to update it soon.
